Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

We have carved the pumpkins, our outfits sorted and just one more sleep till Halloween. I do love this holiday so much and next year I plan to really go to town decorating. I want to have firm traditions in place for Emily as I find them important.
I made this Halloween banner a few weeks ago but wanted to save it for this post. I loved working with the paper line, as I did not want anything too scary for Emily, so I kept it fun and playful. I may do a vintage one for next year for the window.
Hope you all have a safe and spooky night, tell me what are your plans?. We are going to a party at Steve's Mum and Dad's and having a autumn BBQ and apple bobbing. I am really looking forward to it. I could not afford a new outfit this year so I have been messing around with last years and I am happy with the results. Emily of course needed a new one as her little catsuit from last year was in the size 'tiny baby' and although she is still small it would never fit!!!
So two posts in one week, must be a record eh! Lets hope I can keep up as all is back to normal here.
Lots of love and spooky pumpkins

She is back.

So I have finally got around to posting again. It has been the last thing on my mind of late. I have felt no need to talk or share anything, so it felt daft just to post some old crap and besides I wanted to share some layouts. I wish I would just take photo's of them once they were done to save time but there is never the time to do so. I normally scrap while the midnight oil burns if Madam is not teething,(always of late) if she is sleeping well,
(not often) and if Mr Mojo finds me(not as many visits as I would like) So my layouts pile up a until I get my camera out. I have other layouts in a pile at the mo and some DT stuff to share. I always forget to take photos of them, I am slack!
So they they are 3 little layouts, quite old ones that I just have not got around to sharing.
Almost one.
She brightens my day.
We just work.

So other than playing Mummy, what have I been up to of late. Well playing Mummy and that is about it. Emily was poorly. She was teething and was being sick, wouldn't eat and had a fever for around a week. Then as her immune system was down she caught a cold while still teething. Then she started a new trick of not sleeping EVER, crying to come down and making herself be sick as we tried to soothe her back to sleep. She was surviving on 5-6 hours sleep and I maybe had 3-4. It was tough. I struggled to keep up with the washing and drying her bedding and grows along with other washing. The tumble dryer was a Godsend as the weather has sucked. I barely managed any housework, just the basics. The ironing pile went from 3 foot to at least 10. (I am almost caught up) The heating packed up.....new boiler only been in a few months, what the hell is that about! We had a bout of power cuts in the middle of the night and no In the Night Garden when Emily was up was murder. Note to self: need some more tealights.

So to say the least life has been hectic. I am hoping it will calm a little now and I can get caught up and back to normal again. Here is the little darling up at late O clock 'play sleeping' with her Waybuloo De Li. Waybuloo is Emily's favourite new show. She does the 'Yogo' moves and flies her babies like they do. It is so cute, I could snuggle her to death.

I am a little gutted though. We brought Emily just about everything In the Night Garden that she did not already have for Christmas a month or so back and Waybuloo has only just started really, so when people are asking what to get her for Christmas Waybuloo stuff is at the top of the list. That way she will get a mix of both her favourite things. Yay, I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. We went to a garden centre the other week and they have 'Christmas Land' and Emily loved it, she was in awe at the pretties and so was I. I brought a few little treats for the decorations and have seen a few more I want. Speaking of holidays. I have had time to spruce up last years Halloween dress and get Emily a cute witch outfit. The pumpkins are brought, a banner was crafted and we are all ready for a party at Steve's Mum and Dad's, although Chris cannot make it home.

We are in the process of booking a country cottage holiday for next year. The winner so far is this one We will be going with Steve's Mum and Dad, Rob, Marie and Ryan and of course Emily. The kitchen got me, it stole my heart and I do hope it wins. May and June are going to be busy for us as we are going back to Marseille early May and the cottage holiday end of May early June. So I am a little excited already. Best get saving now!

Right I am going to dash, Emily is being well behaved in bed and I am going to risk scrapping I think.

Speak soon

She is stealing my time.......update soon.

As we all know, Emily is my time thief. She has been very clingy of late and time to myself has been short, oh I have been sucked into the world of literacy and cannot seem to get my head of out of books of late. A pleasure I enjoy snuggled on the settee while Emily is safe and sound in her bed. I love Autumn and the cooler dark nights and I don't feel guilty not being around much.
I have stuff to share, I will update soon so please bare with me.
Love and autumn yumminess

The {21} day challenge has begun.

So as promised to myself, here I am on day 3 of the {21} day challenge. I may not show all of my pages as some will be very personal but here is the mini album and day 1 and 2. I of course blurred my weight out. I am honest but not that honest.

I must admit that it is a pleasure to be creating on the daily and getting to journal too. I am not sure if you know but I do love keeping journals, I have a habit of buying notebooks whenever I see one fit for a purpose. I didn't notice this until recently when while in Tesco doing the weekly shop, Steve pointed out my obsession!

The little girl is having a afternoon nap before we head off to the shops {again} for bread to feed the ducks. We have spent the morning at my Nana's and buying fresh yummy seasonal fruit for the grocers for our dinner. I love shopping at the grocers and I really don't know why we don't do it more often. It is cheaper and a nicer experience. The shop-owner even filled my bag and popped it on the pushchair for me with a smile. What more could I ask for. It made me happy, simple things do and for that he will get my custom for the fruit and veg next week and that is a promise.
Here is a quick layout I did last night, I still have more layouts to show and hopefully will update again at the weekend. Hope you are all well. I think I am still up to date with blogs but bloglines will no doubt prove me wrong.

Over and out chickadees, I have stuff to do in the short amount of time Emily will sleep.

Love and Kisses

Hello world.........I am still here!

My little girl is ONE, over a year has past since she made my world complete. I can hardly believe that.
She enjoys life's simple pleasures such as nature, lazy days and picnics.
She makes my heart sing with joy and looks so damn sweet with clips in.
I just adore her stunning blue, blue eyes.
Her smile melts me every single time she does it. I love my not so baby girl.

I will post with layouts real soon. I have been scrapping.
I am going to do Rhonna Farrers 21 day challenge......late of course. I start tomorrow
I am caught up with blogs as of 12th September @ 22.20pm, an accomplishment believe me!
I am caught up with emails too
I need to do my ironing, my pile is huge.
Emily is cutting 5 teeth at once, she doesn't do things by half's......bless her!
I need to get a grip, I have been stressing way too much lately.
I need to.............................okay my list would go on forever and I just dont have time as a luxury of late.

Soon my friends

Her perfect day........................

It was Emily's Christening on Sunday and lucky for us the weather was glorious, the people that mattered attended and the party was perfect. Everyone had such a wonderful day. I passed my camera over to Steve's Dad and he did me proud....................okay so I have over 400 photo's to edit but at least I have a good choice. It will take me a while to sort them all out but I thought that I should share a few of them. On our way to the church.
If only Emily was looking at the camera!

Something funny?

Keeping her entertained.............

Kisses from Daddy

Emily not so happy!
Emily did have a little cry but as it turns out she had a longer sleep than expected and when she woke we had a house full of people, a Mummy in her towel trying to get ready while trying to dress Emily too and a missing Daddy who was picking up my Nana........................it was a bit hectic for her and it put her out of sorts. But she soon cheered up and was 'Dat'ing at everything around the church and scoring £20 notes from Steve's Mums purse.
Emily received some beautiful presents including over £100, a gorgeous wooden deer keepsake box from my Mum, a star named after her, some clothes, gift vouchers, a musical carousel, money box, wooden photo/scrap book and sooooooo much more. So thanks to everyone who gave her such lovely presents and of course a wonderful day. I love you all xxx
A perfect day for a perfect little girl, and Mummy loved it too.
Love and sunshine

A lazy post.......................

I thought it was about time I shared some scrappage with you lot just to prove I am still in the game. I must admit that I have only done about 5-6 layouts since I got back from Marseille but have been working on a personal journal, that normally features some kind of scrappage in it so I don't feel too bad.

I took very quick photo's of my layouts today, but couldn't be bothered to compose or edit them, so here they are in the raw form.................they honestly look much better in the flesh. But I decided to flash Miss E off first! I adore the ladybird on her foot one!

Yes, I am still trying to lose weight and it is slowly coming off, yay!

Honest the colours are bright but not this bad!

Now this is my fave layout I have done for a long time. I just had an urge last night to play and I created this baby. I am working on another with Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line and a old music score sheet. The paper-line is perfect for vintage-type layouts, the kind Micayla's like.

The lovely Emma and Sally have awarded me with blog awards, which I think is really sweet of them considering this old thing of mine is neglected, thanks girls. Right back at ya! So as this is a lazy post, I am passing this award on to anyone who comments on this post.....................Told you I was in a lazy mood. The thing is I have around 10 minutes before Emily wakes and I have a ton to do so need to get this done. So please forgive me.
Oh and here is my new pretty bag, okay it is a stock photo and my bag has one full pocket at the front, but you get the idea. I know a few of you wanted to see it.

I am hopefully going to try and get the blog run done tonight or tomorrow, I know I have been a bad girl of late but with being full of cold and being ill, trying to organise Emily's Christening, being a mum to a demanding mummy's girl(I love it) and trying to do everything else time is short so I hope you understand. I normally read them quickly but don't always get the chance to comment, so I know a lot of you guys are due some Micayla lub.
I am currently being featured on mojoholder which I think is super cool. Co and check it out and have a play. I would love to see what you guys come up with.
Right, must dash now...............I hear Emily stirring.
Love and thanks for still reading
