Project life week 5 and last weekend snow fun

Well week 5 flew and I cannot believe my Project Life week 7 starts tomorrow. I decided that I wanted my weekends together, so started this on the 31st Dec to make that happen. It makes it easier for me, as I always am in town to get my photos printed on a Saturday and while Emily is at playgroup Monday or Tuesday I can get it finished ready for weekend sharing.

 Last weekend was so much fun. Other than a party for Emily's cousin Hannah on Saturday it was going to be a quiet one....but the snow came thick and fast and we ended up sledging with Emily's cousins on Sunday and then out for tea Sunday night with Steve's Mum. It was sooooo cold, I only quickly grabbed the camera for a few shots. I wished now I would of took the time to play about but glove less fingers were frozen and I wanted to wrap them up again. Oh well Mr hindsight and all!

Then Monday as the snow was still thick, after playgroup me and Emily took off to the park to feed the ducks and ended up making a snowman......however Emily sweetly named it our Snow Husband as according to her we were missing ours. I guess she was missing her Daddy who was at work, bless her.

This weekend Emily is sleeping at Granna's so I will catch up with this weeks PL and maybe finish up the bathroom as I have been decorating this week. Sunday is another party, one of Emily's friends is 3 so we are taking her to that. I do hope to try and get cleaned up too, as I have been busy with the bathroom everywhere other than daily hoovering it is a little bit messy and my ironing pile is huge!

I wanted to post this mid week but the weather has been very dull here, and getting photos of layouts in page protectors sucks! But here is week 3 and 4. I have been working on week 5 today and have almost finished, so will share next week at some point.

When I first started seeing posts last year about Project life, I didn't really fancy it. I thought it would be so hard to keep up and that I would get bored after a week or so. But something struck a cord and I keep looking into it, by December I knew I would regret not trying it out. I brought nothing special for it other than a American Craft modern album and 2 packs of page protectors. You  couldn't get PL ones at the time but knew that the ones I was using would be fine, and I could always mix them up if I wanted too.

I have to admit that I love it dearly, I think it is a very special process and already love checking the previous weeks to see what happened. The albums will be cherished by us, I am sure. It has also made me realise something too. While Emily was in my scraproom, she saw the album and was so surprised and happy that there was a photograph of me. Her little face lit up and it made me note that as I am normally behind the camera, there are not a lot of photos of me or us as a family. I have made a vow to myself to make sure I am and we are included more. So I must buy some bloody good concealer to hide these bags I am sporting under my eyes. Having a 3 year sleep battle with a little Miss has contributed to that problem!

I did want to share........

 I had plans for sharing week 3 of  my Project Life album today but Emily has been a little under the weather, I am not feeling great so getting photos of it did not happen. However not one to like to disappoint, I do still have some recent layouts I have done to share so will do today. Next post will be week 3 and 4 together I imagine, hopefully Wed or Thursday.

Knee deep in the sense of satisfaction....

I have been pretty busy this week finally tackling my scrapping room/junk room/playroom/Steve's room. You would not believe how much junk we had. I have hoovered, dusted, cleaned and sorted. I have piles for the bin, the charity shop and things to be put away. I have declutter and condensed my scrapbooking supplies, I have horded for far too long, odd bits of paper, old stuff I thought I may use and stuff I never really liked in the first place. It is all clean and tidy and set up for quick sessions doing Project Life. I have all my bits I need for it on hand and an extra desk to keep my album open on. It feels so good to get it done, it was long overdue.

I really wanted to share week one and two of Project Life with you along with some other layouts but time flew while Emily was at playgroup and I never got them all done. But here is a little peek, I quickly snapped them knowing I was short on time. They just looked so pretty on my desk.

However I do have a layout I can share that was done last year for a guest DT spot over at Creative Scrappers.

And here is a peek at week one of my PL album. I am loving doing it so much and I am so glad I started on this journey.

For the longest time..............

For the longest time I have wanted to update. But the words always failed me, I wanted to share stuff, good news, exciting things but I couldn't get down and type. I am still struggling to be honest but I want to get back into the swing of things. I have decided instead of a huge update, I will share some photos for now and get up to date if I feel the need.

Autumn flew by and a special girl turned 3

 Then it was December and time to get festive.....oh yeah! I spend lots of time searching high and low for vintage glass baubles and amassed a worthy collection. We had a fantastic Christmas and was spoilt rotten as always but it went to fast, like it normally does.

I kept up to date with my December Daily and only have a page to finish and decided to sign myself up for Project Life too which I am enjoying at the moment.

I have been published in Mollie Makes....issue 9 out now. Okay so it is a resub of something I did for another magazine but oh well I am still in print.

I gained 6lbs over Christmas....opps! But lost it all this week, I am a trooper! So back to healthy eating and exercise again. Oh the joys.

I am hoping to catch up on blogs soon, it has been so long and I cannot wait to see what you have all been up too. Hopefully next post will be scrap related and wont be in 6 months time.
