When you cannot think of a title......would Hello do?

Okay, so I said my next post would be craft related. I have been busy creating I have made a dress for Emily(too small...gutted) a camera strap(oh so cute) another layout but most of my time has been spent on Emily and college work. I will try and get these things photographed for my next post....honest!

I have treated myself to 2 new books. Shutter Sisters Expressive Photography and Digital Portrait Photography by Steve Sint both very good books but Expressive Photography is just my style. I adore each page and cannot wait to sit down with a cuppa and read it cover to cover. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves heartfelt photography.

Speaking of photography, I may have some great news to share soon. I don't want to mention too much but it is very exciting and could lead to something huge! I have this HUGE passion brewing inside at the moment and have exciting plans to work towards.

Here are a few of my recent shots. As I don't have anything creative to show for my absence I thought these would sweeten the blow. Late morning fence shot....love the bokeh baby!

We had to capture motion for one of our homework assignments. Using a fast shutter speed you can freeze motion and with a slow shutter speed you can blur it. My personal best two were motion freeze images. Love the tap one....can you see the little bird water droplet I caught. I just photoshopped it's little eye for added effect.

Muddy puddles....what wellies are made for!

More sweet bokeh and one gorgeous little girl who makes my heart leap. I cannot wait for the spring when I can get out more and capture our lives forever in print. I just found myself a bargain camera too, a 1986' Lomo Zenith 35mm for 50p. I checked on eBay and found it could be worth around £100....a good thrifty find I think. Just waiting for the batteries to arrive then I am road testing it. Also bidding on another Kodax Duaflex box camera....I think I may have a slight obsession with cameras. Hoping to get a new semi pro Nikon DLSR and a 85mm lens this year too. So very excited at the thought of some new babies. I did tell Steve he would be kicked out of the bed once it arrives, he laughed but I think he knows it could be true!! Ha Ha.
Well the weekend has not turned out to plan. I wanted to go for a nice walk in the woods and take Emily but the weather here is awful, oh and the car is broken! Bang goes the light meter or external flash fund.....so very gutted I can tell you. Well I have some stuff to do so will skip off for now. Will be blog reading very soon, I fancy a little peek around.

Glad college is going well. I have been a bit lax in the blogging because the light is still too poor to make things & take photos of them. I am still enjoying my rest of dvd watching & book reading.

Um, please take it as a high compliment if I say it doesn't look like you need a book to me!! Actually, I've just bought the Shutter sisters one too - it is supposed to be for Pass The Book in March, but I don't know if I'll be able to part with it. I really cannot wait to see how you apply all its gorgeousness

Hello, thanks for your reply :) We should really email or something, haha. I use a Nikon D40, I adore it! BUT my OH always whines when I take it out when I'm out with friends, he worries I'll lose it or break it... and to me, thats the whole point of having my camera - to capture times with my friends! So I want a D90 for "work" weddings, portrait shoots etc. And my little D40 will be my socail/holiday camera. Of course, once I have the D90, I'll still be aspiring towards the D700! I'll deffo check out that link you sent me, thank you. I looked at quitting qork and going to local uni to study HND in photography, but it didnt happen, I'd still love to tho, maybe one day soon I will. I have done some day courses, and I went on Cheryl Johnsons photography bootcamp weekend last year (great stuff). Other than that, its all self taught. Wouldn't mind a photoshop course! Well done to you on your course, your pictures are amazing. They are the kind of photos I look at and think "I wish I had taken that!"
