A few things to share.......

My golly gosh, two posts in a week. Must be the spring air making me more productive. I swear this week has been so busy. I don't feel as though I have sat down....but in a good way as the garden is really taking shape now and lots of plans have been put into motion.

I mentioned last post my plans for a daily April mini album, well that never happened but I did finish my layout and got it photographed. My pretty October Afternoon 5 and dime papers arrived that I won last month and I cannot wait to play with them. Hoping to do a little playing tomorrow so I will have more to share.
On Mother's Day we spent the day at my Mum's. My Nana was there along with Elise and Reiley and we were spoilt to a lovely dinner, some fun park time and of course pudding. It was a lovely day and Emily and Ra played in the garden together until the heavens opened....typical. But I got some lovely photographs while there.
I love this one, Emily laughing at a private joke......how innocent and adorable.
Pretty spring in full bloom.

Yesterday I took Miss Emily into town for a trip to the library. The church looked gorgeous so we stopped off there for a while to enjoy the views. I took lots of photographs and Emily picked lots of daisies and kept putting them in random places. I thought the daisies above the word garden was a shot too good to miss....how creative of her, although I doubt she realised this!
She gave me lots of flowers.....so sweet.
 She admired the flowers.
 I took photo after photo
Then off to the library to browse food, gardening and photography books and then down to the children's library for some new books and a play for Emily. Happy days.
I can finally share the good news. A few months ago I enquired about taking my photography further. The course I was on was not enough for me and I wanted more. The only thing open to me was the intermediate course or a degree. I was going for the intermediate one and hoped this would be enough. But my crazy brain along with the go ahead from my tutor I ended up trying out the the degree. There are only 15 places a year and all but one were taken. I was not hopeful and I was fighting it out with 2 other people. I had the interview and it went well I thought, but I had an essay to do. I have not done a essay for over 5 years and I was scared. I plodded on, did lots of research and finished it. It was handed in and still I was not hopeful but on Thursday I found out I had a place......yippity yay! I am off to big school to a BA Commercial Photography degree in September. The next hurdle is finding suitable childcare for Emily. I am never going to have a set timetable and it will change from week to week so I am imagining this is going to be hard. But I am sure we will survive. The good this is that it will only be around 15 per week at college and the rest homework and research so I am not going to miss out too much with Emily.

I told you April was going to be exciting. With my birthday next Thursday and many others in the days after, this month is going to be busy. It's our first wedding anniversary next Sat and Steve's Dad is home soon and that means lots of days out and lots of chances to take photographs and learn. Well I must dash, I will be back soon with some photographs of hexie love and maybe a dress for me and Emily that I am in the process of making.

Catch up soon,

Love Micayla
